FOEX’s European pulp and graphic paper indices mixed; recycled board down

FOEX‘s European pulp indices showed mixed developments this week. Dollar-based northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) and bleached hardwood kraft (BHK) pulp were up $3/tonne and $1.60/tonne, respectively. But euro-based prices dipped by more than Euro 13/tonne as the euro strengthened against the dollar.
The OCC index continued decreasing, albeit only slightly, whereas ONP/OMG indices moved up by Euro 1.29/tonne.
On the graphic paper side, LWC and copy paper price levels increased this week, while other grades showed a marginal drop.
On the packaging front, recycled containerboard grades moved down this week, but brown kraftliner and white-top kraftliner headed north.
