The 7th Labelexpo Asia was held in Shanghai New International Expo Centre successfully.
Since the exhibition was held in 2003 the first time, Labelexpo Asia has been the largest professional exhibition for label and package printing. The net exhibition area is 9000m2. More than 300 enterprises of printing, label, flexible package joined this exhibition. 22104 professional audience visited, which increased by 3.2%, compared with 2013. During this exhibition, focus group organized by high-level processors was held the first time. Moreover, forum lasting for 2 days was held to discuss more of hot topics, such as sustainable development, brand protection and Smart products.

As the single largest coated mill in the world, GEP promoted several new products, such as 80gsm digital label coated-one-side(C1S) paper, 80gsm food grade C1S paper and 157gsm high-bulk C1S. C1S paper of GEP has been widely used in different kinds of adhesive label. Its distinct and excellent bar code printing effect is welcomed by customers. At present, GEP shares 80% of the label paper market in China, and cooperates with many label processors among the world for long time, such as Avery, Raflatac, Fuzhou, Guanhao, Jinda. In the exhibition stand, we designed a LOGO wall, hanged on logos of our customers, to express the thankfulness to all the partners.

This exhibition not only gave us the chance to promote new products and talk with customers face by face, but also let us know digital printing, short-run and personalization label were the main tendencies in label industry. For example, in adhesive label market, according to the data provided by International Label Printing Group, annual per capita consumption in Europe and USA was 12-18m2. While, annual per capita consumption in China was only 0.9m2. It proved the market of label raw material and label printing in China had large potential.
